Her tears silently fell onto the platform;
condemning herself and paying for her mistakes.
Slipping the noose around her neck,
this will be her fate.
Her heart has long been dead,
her soul lost long ago.
Not much longer will her body exist,
only her mistakes that will desecrate her memory.
Always being criticized for being "human;"
now she will take responsibility for her actions.
She will atone for her indiscretions;
her people will no longer suffer for her nature.
Praying to no one, just silent thoughts of emptiness.
Eyes wide open and seeing only a blank canvas.
A numbing sensation taking over her body;
she no longer feels pain...only distributes it.
Finally freeing him from the prison she bestowed upon him;
he is free to pursue as he wishes.
No longer a disappointment to them,
they are free to move on.
To you my dear one, you will always be missed.
With a movement so graceful, a ballerina would cry;
not a move she made.
Now she has paid.
