Moon through the birch trees
my standard morning view
thinking about tomorrow
thinking about you,
4.3 billion years old
the spinning Earth
this sand in my pockets
my total Net Worth,

Out to the highway
backpack and my thumb
you come driving by
I look like a bum,
but with a pleasant smile
and a non-violent nature
you pull to the verge
willing to make a wager,

My pack in the back
click the seatbelt tight
we alternate driving
well into the night,
finally we surrender
to a dim motel sign
small room in the back
one bed with be just fine,

Take off our jackets
take off our shoes
balance the options
things to win and lose,
I pull off my shirt
undo my Levi jeans
stand in my boxer shorts
tall, tan and lean,

You smile with approval
undo your chartreuse blouse
wiggle from your black pants
quiet as a mouse,
stand there in panties and
your bra, both bright yellow
my favorite color
both vivid and mellow,

Four steps between us
we each take two
wrap my arms around you
I kiss, and so do you,
I unhook your bra
hands down your spine
you push down my boxers
seem pleased with what you find,

We stagger to the shower
the water on full blast
I strip you of your undies
our last clothing task,
naked as the evening
we soap each other twice
your breasts, your butt, my penis
squeaky clean, nice,

We take the skimpy towels
dry each other quick
I ask you "top or bottom?"
girls get first pick,
you push me to the bed
flat on my derrière
climb on board and ride me
into the midnight air ...
