Darling, you should
not brush your hair
fronting the cold mirror -

don't seek the reflection
of time slowly getting
the better of youth:

the lake's banks show
erosion; there's grey paths
down the dark slopes...

fully unbiassed
the glass will throw
all of it back at you.

Don't brush your hair
that way. Brush it in front
of my eyes.
