(This is excerpted from a real conversation between lovers who lost each other.)

"I had a chance...
someone blew it away!"
he said.

"I am ashamed!
If I am ever asked..."
she began.

A pause,
a breathless hesitation,
a sweet promise.

"The chance is always there...
I won't say no again!"
she ended.

A breath,
a heartfelt revelation,
a warm desire.

"No need for shame...
Love knows no shame!"
he said.
