I let myself feel, for the first time,
the warmth of your embrace.
I cannot bring myself to step away from you,
as I have done before,
in vain attempt to hold myself aloof,
to keep faith with a truth I would deny.

Your arms enfold me, and your lips
cling to my cheeks with sweet desire.
I rest my head upon your welcoming chest,
and you hold me there tenderly,
the gold cloth of my scarf a soft restraint,
to keep me close to your wandering heart.

The night is deep, your voice in my ear
a deeper tone, whispering sweet words.
Your love warms my senses, sliding, with your hands,
along the curves of flesh that swell with need
for your caress, across my trembling lips,
behind my head to bring me to your kiss.

We move together, legs and lips and hearts
gliding over and around each other, carrying
the feelings growing in the space between our breaths,
feelings that invade our senses, and inflame us
with a lust so strong it cannot be denied...
the flower of our secret love blooms bright.

I cannot keep myself from calling out
your name...my love...the longing of my heart
for more, for better...forever. The cries that pour, like floods,
from my strangling throat, mix love and sorrow,
for I am no more yours after this loving
than I have ever been. The pain is all...

...all, and yet nothing can take this time -
our time, our love - away from me. I know it
as I know my name, your name, our feelings for each other.
I know your love is real, like the soft whispers
that fall from your lips, the farewell kisses sweet
that settle their message in my memory's store.
