This is the stillness that the years have brought
where shy desire and cold denial breed –
my heart rebelled but my slow brain obeyed
     and left the matter pending  
in hopeless wonder at all silent thought
that lights your eyes but that I may not read –
no more than ambling clouds and shifting shade
     or a low sun descending.

Don't recognize the form off the top of my head--

but whatever it is, it's really seamlessly constructed. There's a lot going on with an economy of words. It's no easy task (imho) to tell so much story with so few, well-chosen words. Impressive!
