On that day
When the stars align
All pretenses dropped
Or left behind

Standing together
Alone at last
Future is forward
Behind the past

Let us begin
With a 'hi' and a smile
Laughing aloud, together
For awhile

At the comedy of errors
We've found ourselves in
The ridiculousness
Of the situation

But then take my hand
And tell me it's true
All you see in the future
Is me and is you
