It’s time my friends to make some plans
Cause Tricky Dick is in
The war just keeps on raging on
Can’t let the bad guys win

So let’s meet and talk
And figure out what we can do today
And try to change what we can change
At Layfette’s Cafe

The suits don’t see what’s going on
They don’t know what we know
So let’s show them where they’re blowing it
And change the status quo

Let’s start with taking inventory
And print what’s going down
Because they’re folks doing lots of things
Right here in our own town

The Venice Peoples Rainbow Pages
A book that leads the way
So let’s have some Joe
And dream some dreams at Layfette’s
