The world is a haze:
I see, I feel, I listen,
my heart goes on.

Life plays out all around,
stuff happens
and I care.

Can't touch anything.

The words echo distantly:
it's like they're unheard.
Music fills my heart and overflows,
no one listens.

I reach and touch and feel,
it's like a breeze stirring lightly
across the skin,
here for a moment, then gone.

I'm here but I'm not,
my absence wouldn't be noticed,
am I gone already?

Yesterday seems so real,
an alien world gone, unheeded,
when I try to touch the ones
I shared my life with
they pull away,
all I belonged to pulls away.

Maybe
I'm not here after all.
Maybe
I need to find where I belong
now.

But I want to be here,
even if it doesn't want me,
can't understand, but can't go.

Poignant sadness of a soul

Having left this world , but still torn by old associations not knowing where to go !
