The trees wear snow evening
gloves, but no one told them,
white was out, that black was in.
Instead, their leaf buds
freeze while the sun is too
slow peeling back clouds,
revealing blue skies.

I wait with a frosty breath, wait
for the thaw to strip them down
to nothing but naked limbs.

Ah, beauty!

How can anyone miss the inherent beauty of winter? You've evoked it really well here, and added the extra layer of suggestion that makes this just delightful!

When I Peel

off my gloves I wait for no thaw

to melt me into naked

puddles. Instead, my teeth

tug tight tips of fingered leather

away, until I can simply glide

my hands free of skin

only to stroke them

over bared satin and sinful flesh.

I hope those who think and write an abundance of in your face four letter words read this. While it may not be erotic, it's much more sensuous than most of the "Ooh Baby! stuff posted and enables the imagination to go places. The brevity of words also makes the poem outstanding. Nicely done.

dirty fucker

nice inverse, didn't see it coming, really good when the writer gets there before the reader, and then the reader has to go back to check out the lead in.

Crisp, says and does what you what it to.
