both John Wesley Powell
and Lawrence Ferlinghetti
were born on this date
1834 and 1919
but probably didn't hang together
which is too bad:
"hey Lawrence, let's do a river trip...
I'll meet you in Green River in May,
bring your books and some beer
I'll round up a couple boats and we can go exploring ..."
