Kneeling in wait to be released
Your words bind and tie this beast

I strain and pull at my invisible restraint
It tears into my heart, it scars with pain

You blocked me, you locked me, you shut me out
I reach for you, slap, recoil, your silent shout

I'm DOM, your sub but you don't understand
Your place, my purpose, you kneel, I stand

You punish me for loving you, you leave me in this dark
You broke my hard limit, on my heart you left a mark

I kneel here, palms up, head bowed, true
Your DOM, your lover, in need of you

There is such a thing as real pain. Learn from it and how it can be presented.

There is a pain -- so utter --

It swallows substance up --

Then covers the abyss with trance --

So memory can step

Around -- across -- upon it --

As one within a swoon --

Goes safely -- where an open eye --

Would drop Him -- bone by bone.

E. Dickinson
