Your fingers move like lightest breeze,
My body quivers under your touch,
Absorbs your heat, seeks your nearness,
Opens to your slow approach.

Melting, melding, two into one,
A hot embrace for trembling members,
We climb for release, to give and love,
Exchange of liquids, kisses, embers.

Explosions of motions suck us up
To twisting howls between earth and sky,
Snatching our breath from gulping mouths,
Our bodies hurled among the stars

Where silence reigns in pregnant vacuum,
Afloat, suspended among worlds of green,
Where blackness is light, and ecstasy bursts,
A thousand points of light descend to earth.

Pregnant indeed

but the possibilities are crushed by clumsy cliche. The best line IMHO - "Exchange of liquids, kisses, embers". - made me think briefly of Auden's night mail before it sank into a morass under the weight of that pregnant vacuum.

This is the night mail crossing the Border,

Bringing the cheque and the postal order,

Letters for the rich, letters for the poor,

The shop at the corner, the girl next door.

Pulling up Beattock, a steady climb:

The gradient's against her, but she's on time.

Past cotton-grass and moorland boulder

Shovelling white steam over her shoulder...
