Office
Where the woman in the flowered dress
With the letters after her name
Asked and listened, processed and told
At long last she gave me the news
Progressively worse it would all go

Clinic
Where I was told that my mind would leave
Day after day it would slow and grift
Slipped and faded, slowed and broken
Not long left for functioning clean
Time short and draining faster

Home
Where I will sit and feel my thoughts flee
Helpless to gather again my frail wits
Adrift and alone, hopeless and helpless
Wait with tear stained cheeks for void
For the abyss my thoughts will become

Hell
All that is left for my life
All that awaits me forever more
Damned and lost, held and kept
Leave me now in this chamber alone
It's all I have left in this world or any

wakingDown

You are not alone. We are all on the same track. Different compartments, perhaps. Different cars, perhaps. Different trains, perhaps. Different speeds, perhaps. Same destination.

Five.

power in your words

and power to your elbow - unhesitating and uncompromising. Sweet O.

A painful and powerful poem

May you find peace.
