Lately,I've just been
doling out time
in a dilapidation daze,
dancing with angels of decay
carried by the gentle breeze,
a mere decorous hook tied
to a feed-back loop
that spans the seven sinful seas
and runs inconspicuously
through our Kakfa-esque dreams,
to angle back into the skies
through narrow-carpeted halls
(class-sorted
as always like before,)
except now the heavens
are the white debris
thrown aside
by our factory-sewn protrusions
(so much for Miltonian illusions...)

and yet onward roll
the shiny gears of
the God-machine,
dragging false prophets
and false problems
across the thought-lit stage...
yanking id-ruled hominids
in blue-and-white drones
flashing and jagging
in their Shivaiic tangos
across our teeming, ill-named "freeways,"
occasionally high-jumping the barriers
and crashing into The Democracy Gardens
or some other Suburban nature reserve

"I'm never gonna know you
now,
but I'm gonna love you
anyhow"

-E.S. "waltz #2"
