Side by side
my knees pressed into yours
a perfect fit
my forehead gently resting
on the back of your neck
"tell me" I whisper
"tell me your secrets,
the reasons you hide
tell me the darkness
you keep deep inside
tell me your fears
of the future and past
tell me those thoughts
and the shadow they cast"
My arm resting tight
over your heart
fire between us
nothing keeps us apart
you are mine
I am yours
we know this is for real
all the thoughts that we think
all the feelings we feel
"don't be afraid, I want the dark too
I want to know each and every
side of you."
And as your voice pierces the dark
your honest words so touch my heart
I mean this for really real
I want you in my life
I want you in my bed
I want to be your wife
I listen until you've said all you've need
then whisper
my breath warming your skin
"I still want you
let the past be the past
all I long for is YOU
you you you
at last."
I've been here waiting
as you waited for me
just give me a chance
to show you, you'll see
I mean all I've said
from the start to the end
I mean all I've said
to my very best friend.
Once again I whisper,
curled into your dark
"Now we begin, love,
now is the start."
