Cornered and trapped logic
Nowhere left to flee
Howling madness must be faced

Victory requires contestation

Tear at the chaotic whirl
Break down random with choice
Numb impulse with sentience

Contestation creates fallout

Thinking is not easy with this
Heavy shrieks beak up the trains
And cause intuition to buckle

Fallout contaminates collateral

Broken and bleeding logic can emerge
No longer whole or healthy no
But victorious and alive all the same

Collateral collects the victor

Heavy Shreks break up the trains

I read this several times, and each time picked up something else. I find your poems have a strange evocative power, and the actual words bring up images from history, battles, TV that go far beyond the poem. For example, "break up the trains". On the surface you mean trains of thought. But my mind immediately went to trains of soldiers, or victims - something that would be shown in WWII footage in black and white. I really like the linking single lines. The weakest line here is "Thinking is not easy with this". But a solid 5 for me.

this is powerful work

I can sense the spiral into adrenaline fuelled reaction, the moment when you realise you gotta do something, where you just act on impulse your mantra almost think, think, think, but there is no time in milliseconds to get everything right. I have been there, not to your extent but I get it.

Thank you for sharing.
