Oh to see the light twinkle
in your eyes so bright
One more time
just one more time
would make my world seem right
away you went
into night so cold
to quick to say goodbye
but oh to see once more
once more
the twinkle of light in your eye
You promised me forever
but death had other plans
we never know our time to go
eternity waits for no man
but how I wish just once again
to feel the rough of your hand
I stand here now and breathe
as winter wind dries my tears
shuffling forward all alone
through swiftly marching years
but oh to see your smiling face
only but one more time
to hear you say
in softest whisper
so sincerely
