You're just a jester
In the court of fools
Asking to yourself
Whatever can I do
You followed what they told you
Did what you don't want to
The only one you ever have to answer to is you
So which one are you
The foolish or the fool
The king or the jester
Or the wasted few
Saddened by your loneliness
As life passes by
The jester in the court of fools is your lot in life.
Don't follow what they tell you
Do what you want to
Only answer to yourself
The one and only you

Nicely done

A good lesson without being trite

Here here. Live for you, it's not worth living for what society wants of you. Be happy, whatever that means for you.
