We used to meet
every Saturday
At 10.30
At Alliance
In Colombo

We used to watch
animated films
Eating Pringles
Sitting on the first row
Holding hands in the dark

We used to eat
Till stomach hurts
Biriyanies & Tandoories
Burgers & French fries
Wadés & Dosés

We used to drink
Till throat floods
Mango juices at Roots
Plain teas by the road
Milk packets at shops

We used to shop
at Deep & Fashion Bug
For long sleeved blouses
Which you liked
That I hated

We used to plan
one day trips in a hurry
To Kithulgala
To Galle
To be at home before six

We used to laugh
Shooting a short film together
In your friend's office
Wearing wigs & make ups
Then lying on the floor!

We used to kiss
secretly & laughing
in the back seat of your car
parked under the big tree
behind B.M.I.C.H

We used to have sex
passionately & repeatedly
at Riviras, Mount Lavinia
in different rooms
but the same hotel

We used to give presents
to each other, for no reason
I always a tie & a shirt
You always Kurtas, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, hand bags, lip glosses, slippers, nail polish, purses
but never a ring

When time passed by.
I wondered why ?

You started to scold
driving zig zag the grey car
scolding me in poisonous filth
till I cry with the pain
just to please you

You started to break
My beautiful necklaces
which you gave as presents
in to little pieces & threw away
To the stinking drains

You started to delete
my adorable messages
Then,replacing my name weirdly
with a man's name on the phone
Assuring me you know the number by heart

You started to ignore
our anniversary in 2011
my important calls & texts
strangling me one day
slapping me the other day

You started to cease
like a dried up stream
with no hope of water
looking blankly at sky
with its hidden pain

Then, time stopped
I questioned why?

I,
froze,
with,
a,
cracked,
heart,
in,
one,
October,
day,
when,
I,
hacked,
your,
mails,
&,
found,
that,
WE,
have,
long,
ceased,
to be,
Will,
never,
be,
again,
as,
WE,
used,
to be...

Dan Savage says never snoop because you'll always find things you don't want to... End of a relationship is...rough.
