Words are not meant to be taken lightly
They are full of power
The power to wound
The power to heal
The bullies' words, the ones they pound
Into the victims of their whims
To them they are cinder blocks
The words they speak, the lies they tell
They darken the world
They erase their once bright smiles
The cries of those they hurt fill the night
At night they slide the blade across their wrists
One cut for every lie, for every painful word
Be the one who speaks in love
Who speaks in truth
Breathe life back into their souls
Be the change we need to see in this world
