To know Ones frailties
to know Ones time is over
To know that soon
there will be no morn

Those calls of the Valley
Those trills of the cardinals
That whispered sibilance of her
                        soft whimpers
.....None....
will be left
Save a deathly silence

                     a calcified fragment
empty sockets    deep and glowing,
will she keep Him to use
As Once He used her

Sinewy vertebrae
      cracked and polished
Articulated by machinery
to raise and lower animal hide ,
braided
Will He leave her that at least
                           Should He?

Morbid the fascinations
Great the flames as
He is subsumed
Those flames licking that
porcelain heat,
her chinadoll face
left bereft ,
her alabaster neck
Pristine         clear
where oh where are the rends?
those loving welts
those oozing lines
His tongue once licked
as she lay before Him
and now the wind caresses
      naught saves the knell
Be MineForeverMore was
His refrain
and the Wind whispers that
                 again and again
