Confucian rains and wisdom
drops sparkle in the web of love.
Who won the glove of lady fair
must then beware passion done
to death by logic and by reason?
Seasons out of mind follow
like swallows fleeing home
ever more to roam in search of
love and finding only wisdom
in random puddles of confucian rain;

small comfort, little gain...

Follow reason lest impulses triggered by passion's flame will obscure reason's guiding light.
