Many years had gone,
To many had past.
With nothing ever lasting.

Hurt having caused a block,
A wall so high.
That none would tackle.

Then one took the challenge,
Awakening a heart so cold.
Leaving a desire that was unknown.

Though its not enough,
Sending that warmed heart back.
Awakened though hiding.

Self-built walls can be torn down but even so, with another's help, that may not be enough, if you still want only to remain hidden.

Breaths there a soul...

Awareness ~ another soul finds a passage through the wall so high - warms the cold heart - human contact never enough...
