Once.
I met you
And I felt
Complete.
I kissed you
I tasted
your lips; you
took my breath away.
I let you in
So deep
I opened up
My heart,
My entire life to you.
I loved you,
You loved me.
We loved,
Sharing our bodies
our souls;
thought it would be forever.
Distance rose,
Somewhere along the way.
A coldness crept
Breaking, our love
Ending our trust.
Leaving us with
a fantasy we once shared.
