Click hereJust when you think it's safe
to drop a little gift
out behind the bushes that
are called 'New Poems' of Lit.
The anon comes stomping by
just as you're leaving it.
Augury's seldom well received,
portents filled with wit,
grating insights proclaim,
your arse is full of grit.
He then prescribes a purgative
to relieve your grunting fits.
So, don't despair of foul air
though flatulence burns the eyes.
Careful when once again you squat
to deposit your next surprise,
there are piles of other offerings
that draw as many flies.
I am surprised to see the word "caca" here, it makes me wonder its origin.
Anyway, funny gift you've left here, Harry. I could stop myself from smiling, reading it. And I like the rhymes, too! Whenever someone makes a rhyming poem and I like it, something is going on. Stanza 2 is gold.
Many strange things happen behind the bushes of Lit, it seems, not all of it squatting, evidenced with your poem, here.
It may need a little tightening in places, a few read alouds will fix that. It is still a 5er.
there are those like me who sincerely like & appreciate your poems !! Ignore those scum & live in our love , bro !
