I met a woman just like dear old Mom,
And I thought she was lookin' really fine.
My Daddy looked and then groaned "Listen Son,
Don't you DARE give her a little more time!"

One day I went for a walk on the beach,
And I saw a girl looking so sublime!
When I told her she kicked sand in my face,
I growled "YOU can't have a little more time!"

While one day on the ocean I captured,
A pretty mermaid in that salty brine.
When I tried to kiss her she said "No Way!"
I begged her "Give me a little more time!"

While at the racetrack my horse came in first,
And I was celebrating with some wine.
I heard an announcement "Disqualified,"
My horse just needed a little more time!

I found another girl to be my wife,
With a backside fully rounded and prime!
My Mama said "Nix boy, that ain't for you!
I whined "Ma give her a little more time!"

It looked to me like my luck was all bad,
And "Lady Luck" was being real unkind.
But that there Imp hiding inside my head,
Giggle low "Give HER a little more time!"

By this time I was a discouraged man,
I knew my wants and needs weren't worth a dime!
I made my mind up, and decided then,
I'd NEVER give it "a little more time!!"

~~

Waiting, forever waiting. And in the meantime, life passes you by while you wait to live it.

time.

Times up! ~ it would seem when a man has had enough and doesn't want to give anyone or anything ~ a little more time.
