Click hereThey brought fire and they brought pain;
I brought ice and I brought rain.
They said “Never” and said “No way”;
I said “Always” and “Keep your faith”.
Their rage and anger tears me apart;
They’re hollow and empty, no beating hearts.
Their claws sink deep like slimy moles;
As they try to tunnel into my soul.
I stand up strong, I never give in;
I hold my ground to the bitter end.
They lie and cheat – they lie in wait;
They set it out and place the bait.
They’re monsters. They’re demons. They’re broken men.
They’re lost. They’re wandering. They live for sin.
I shall never give in; I will always resist;
if I give up, again and again they’ll insist.
Debauchery; insanity; no sense of love;
Agony and misery, a bleeding dove.
Resist with me, let’s face them all;
Look in their eyes while standing tall.
I’ll go left while you go right,
But whatever happens, stay in the fight.
Cut and stab, slice and dice
They’ll start running like frightened mice.
Today we win, today we’re free,
All because you stood by me.
I’m sorry this ‘poem’ sounds more like a war speech than a ‘poem’
I had started thinking that you wouldn't be coming back to the site. I am very glad to see that you are back with more brilliant imagery. Looking forward to your next work. :)
