off came her tee-shirt
stepped out of her shorts
hot July, Utah desert sun
my friend Linda
her strong
toned, tanned body
muscular thighs
strong arms
undersized breasts
small dark nipples
pubic mound a small mountain
lush with unruly brown hair,
spread out on the smooth river-side sand
hot and dry
arms and legs spread wide
soaking up the heat,
the Green River
halfway down a week-long kayak trip
above Rattlesnake Rapids
beside me naked in the July sun,
