Blood again always here
All that is known anymore
Long enough that it is
All that can remain

Slogging ankle deep fields
Only dead for company
Solitary splash of red
Boots softened by soaking

Voiceless victims unnumbered
Surround and subdue
Empty eyes staring hard
Accuse in lidless gaze

Hands clothes face hair
Always dripping thick red
Cannot be clean again
Unable to wash the sin clean

Every life met with murder
Every face ripped apart
Every heart stopped hard
Every mind shredded by hand

Left wandering now again
Sent hence as always
Walk on through blood
Treading on the sunken bones

Alone with only blood
A march through death
Trudge in crimson mire
Ever onward through the red
