Allan was to meet Queen Elizabeth,
And he was afraid he'd act like a "Jerk."
She was so "High" up in "Society,"
That he didn't know if his "Talk" would "Work!"

Allan decided to give it a try,
After all he didn't have "Much" to lose.
They'd stopped "cutting" heads off in the "Tower,"
So Allan "fortified" himself with "Booze!"

I'd have to say that Allan wasn't drunk,
Though he was a little "tipsy" maybe.
I'm sure the Queen got a pretty "big" shock,
When Allan "Kissed" her and called her "Baby!"

Allan figured he'd made a slight "Foopaw,"
But he was "Quick" when covering his ass.
He gave a deep bow and a "saucy" grin,
And whispered "I mistook you for my Lass!"

Allan hurried on with his "compliments,"
"Beauty like you have is so hard to find.
I have to say "Your Highness," you're "Lovely!"
And besides being "Beautiful" you're kind!

Allan's talk was smooth like a "Troubadour's,"
And he laid it on "Thick" and pretty "Fast!
He left his "Queen" with a "Blush" and "Grinning,"
And he "escaped" back to his "Digs" at "Last!"

Allan "took" himself a "Blood Oath" right "then,"
Because "Royalty" and "Booze" didn't "mix!"
If he "ever" went to "meet" a "Princess,"
He'd not "ever" again "get" in this Fix!!"

Talk befitting a Queen.

Bravo Uncle Pervey! I like the way you write about the Royal Family ~ could there be a Knighthood in your future. Enjoyable.
