The concrete rises
to meet her face
To kiss the fool
who thought she could fly
With such a weight as yours
on her back
And whispers of a love
no more than a corporeal need

I M P A C T

It splits her open
Shaving her insides
and leaving fragments
embedded and burning
Not a mortal plunge
but scars remain
Wiping away the last trace
of her pure form
