Freshly showered
raindrops tears
wax wane unfading
my inner landscape
merging cloudy two-seater miles
to a man in a hat and smiles
walking through aisles
automatic seatbelts click
encircled in goodbye snap
hello stairs Pad Thai
kisses

Now two regrets
rain small voices
wax wane unfading
the distant landscape
lifting clarity northeast
while my heart's two lobes
tangle in this dichotomy
of loss
of love

Elegant

Beautifully written. I love this piece.

I had to come back to this /

for when I read it first /

uncomprehending of it's meaning /

though not of its beauty /

that propelled me to seek solace in Anew Too /

desperate as I was to understand /

what thrilled me in the frustrated /

misty confusion blinded by beauty / / /

Run away.

Flying away from the object of her affection ~ taking flight filled with regret.

So austere

Tight economy;

Words that ring true

Bittersweet and poignant

Of something special ~gone.
