History and God, if you believe It,
know well all the spears, catapults, and bombs.
It was human, more citified this time,
and good or evil, depending upon
the name of the tribe or country you’re from,
reminding me of the Middles Ages
when lieutenants of lords and cardinals
were in for the night by their chamber pots
to plan the next generation’s crusade
before all the Moors could do unto them.

As I wandered the so-called Holy Lands,
I toured some hieroglyphic exhibit
and saw the spitting images of hate,
directing their sticks at other stick men,
but the story will always be the same,
Hebraic, Mohammedan, or Christian,
the day that we see new hydrogen cars
or the end of suicide martyrdom,
for sure as hell we will find more reasons
to drop our smart bombs or speed dial them in.
