Sometimes a notion is all you got,
And a notion ain't worth a lot.
A notion can sure make your brain rot,
And sometimes put you on a spot!

Some ideas you have just won't work,
No matter how they boil, or perk.
If you stand back quiet, and just lerk,
Somebody else will be the jerk!

The first mouth open is often wrong,
No matter how windy, or long.
And it don't matter if they belong,
If yours is the last one, it's strong!

A notion just isn't worth a lot,
If that's the only thing you've got.
If you let someone else fill the pot,
You'll never be put on the spot!

So let somebody else blow off gas,
And when it's your turn just say "Pass."
When they pretend they've got some class,
Just tell them all to "Kiss your ass!!"

Ah...the last stanza ~ how often have we been tempted to do just that.

Nice way to handle those long-winded staff meetings that inept business manager hold ~ they'll never make it as business leaders.
