I took the blade to my skin
And watched it bleed yet again
He says I'm strong, but I am weak
A way out is all I seek
I keep the cuts as small as can be
Watching the blood trickle free
That way if they ask I can say it was a mistake
Just a slip of the razor blade is all it would take
Long sleeves, bracelets, tattoos
Anything to cover the truths
I seek the pain of the knife for release
A way to make the feelings cease
Relieved as I watch the blood leave my veins
Cleansing me of some of my pain
I've found a way to end my sorrow
I'll sleep in peace knowing there is no tomorrow
