And so neat,
And fancy free,
And walking to meet
Me
On Haden Hill,
I wish you were mine to
Keep…
But at least you’re..
Borroyable..
I dream of you,
You’re my perfect high,
You make the sad of blue,
The summer of sky.
You would be awfully nice
To kiss.
And I wish you all the bliss
I get from you…
But please get it from me..
But at least you’re borroyable.
The night does not fade dim.
It’s bright as stars
In the sharp eyes
And the dark skies of your
Friendly eyes
Borrow tunes from in my head,
Even that,
Even dread,
Because you are you,
The best there could be.
No one could steal you
From the protection tree.
I wish we were one and two..
And me and you…
And other kinder deeds…
But we all have needs..
Mine is you..
At least you’re borroyable.
I wonder where you stow your
Days.
You make them up.
I do intend to say,
Because no one could create
Seasons of home,
Never more again my heart to
Roam.
But you’re not mine.
But at least…
…You’re borroyable.
I wish you pleasant dreams.
I wish you happy streams
To swim in this summer
You made for me,
And for him,
But talk of thee.
Let’s pick an apple,
And begin this whole thing
Right.
I’m the man.
You’re the kite
I fly in blue bunting
And silver clouds.
Never seeds of grass
To grow,
Just you,
For a million Julys or so.
While I love you
Cause you’re you,
And the deepest rain,
The sweet dew,
Went undetected till you
Smiled at me.
But at least you’re..
Borryable.
I smile in my heart,
I love you more than time
And planets and skies and
Moons and suns
And universes,
Measure them all together,
And you will have one small
Grain of salt
Of how much I love you…
From afar..
But the nearest star..
And the only regret I have
To say…
Is that you’re borryable..
And one day not that, but who
Knows,
Maybe in time,
You’ll see my mind and walk my
Words with your eyes,
And then you’ll be in arms
That can kindred call
Nestle summer,
Rapture Fall,
And if someone from afar,
Wants the lightning in your
Jar,
You can stir me to finer dreams,
Come the smile as you say to him,
Sorry, mate,
I’m here to stay with my friend,
And am no longer…
..borryoble.
I enjoyed your right!!!! (~_~) I meant ...Write!! thanks for the read.
"You’re the kite
I fly in blue bunting
And silver clouds." the use of bunting was great and unexpected. Two criticisms: you spell borryable several different ways in the poem, not sure if that was intentional. Also words like "Thee" seem a little out of place in this stream-of-thought poem. I can say I wish I knew what borryable means ;)
