You never call
There are no phones that ring
It is me you do not seek

I should know
After all...
I am like you

Sure
I sit and wait
Actually believing you will call

For days checking my ringer
Hoping I won't miss you

All the while
I say to others
"Sure, I will call you"

Knowing that they...
Like me

Will sit by a phone
that simply won't ring

And again... you don't call.

_Jenny
