The pain and anguish
surging forth.
No rhymes this time.
She didn't even let me
say good-bye.
She never heard me say
one last time
I love you.
Although she had
a few faults,
selfishness was not
one of them.
Can I have a piece of chocolate?
Those cold fingers I held
at the end,
were not those I
had known throughout life.
Where was the feeling?
Couldn't you wait?
I didn't have much to say
but I would have liked
to say it to your face.
That face I'll never forget
I wish I could do
something
which would make you
remembered forever.
But who the hell am I?
Just an ordinary sort of guy
who'll never forget your kindness.
