~Sitting in silence,
in the night's dark.
is that a vigil
or is it penance
she makes Him endure

and that the lizard does,
is He sated ever
will He ever be?
can He fill her needs

Two worlds collide
and what happens
Is that a new star?
that glorious way

When the rank stench of rotting corpses
fills His mind
He stands and plucks the flower
Holds it to His nose
and smiles

Carrion
