i know the darkness,
it's a sad old friend,
come for me and take away all the nighttime daymares.

i know the night,
it's a dream i have,
all things change in twilight and ignite our fears.

i know the depression,
a companion that i seem to hold,
calling for me to share it's insanity.

i know the history,
i wrote most of the story,
i lived the pain and slaked the pressure.

dream a dream?
live a life?
Die in the last reel and allow the final bell.

Disturbing as some poems should be

A poem about the darker side of our existence, definitely worth reading and contemplating!
