His body against mine
Made my blood boil.
His lips against my skin
Make my body tense.
Yet it was all hollow,
Devoid of any emotion
Or intimacy between us.
At the end of the night
It was you I thought of
You I wished could be there
Beside me as I slept.
Doesn’t that count for something?

don't listen to the shady characters

There are so many anonymous wankers here that throw shade, don't believe a word they say. "Doesn’t that count for something?" is delicious! bravo!

Can't bear to look at myself

An overly used 'line' divided into many. Some words lead to discovery; some meant to cover what may be too much(for now?) to look at.

forbidden love.

The heartfelt question ~ Doesn’t that count for something?
