I hover the edge of your horizon
like a barely visible albatross
fated to haunt your indulgent voyage
as you heedlessly navigate the earth.

I am a girl you forgot to marry -
a trifle that you never really loved.
I am a harbor where once you tarried -
a tight pussy that fit you like a glove.

the white whale of my impure obsession,
my life's treasure surrendered to the deep,
you are the trade winds that push me onward,
you are the typhoon into which I leap.

your waves smooth my belly in reverie,
and I dream a taste of your briny seep.
I'm rotting flotsam of our memory -
a sun-bleached wreckage of your rhythmic beat.
