The shining ev'ning star is Heaven's sight,
And looks down on God's children each night.
It sees the children's impurity,
And forgives and grants serenity.

The "Chosen" are the Israelites,
They are the "First Ones" in Yahweh's sight.
But like all others they're full of sin,
And like all others they've always been.

From out of Egypt when Moses led,
With water from rock and "Manna" fed!
The foolish Israelites bowed down,
And worshiped a calf with golden crown.

Moses destroyed the "Tablets of God,"
For this angry act he'd never trod.
For this act of anger he was banned,
From ever walking the "Promised Land."

Yahwel's Great Mercylet Moses see,
The "Promised Land" across the Dead Sea.
Then Moses' task was finished at last,
And God claimed Moses and his soul passed.

Through all the ages from that time on,
The clothes of "Self-Righteousness" were donned.
And because of these hipocracies,
God's wrath brought His children miseries!

Once more the Israelites are home,
Hopefully never more will they roam.
Yahweh is worshiped from near and far,
And God watches through the "Ev'ning Star!!"
