Forgive me, beloved, please, do understand
the day is naked, and I am suckled by night.
Raking pebbles into waves of ruthless lucidity
between twin citadels of concealed decorum
and desperate extortionate control, there,
fragile wraiths entangle with irrational winds
this mind, this heart, this soul.
Wordless whimsical self demands,
like the hard reality of water on stone,
the implacable dance of nature's law,
that I am with you without ever seeing you
time out of mind, thankful 'til the end.
