Night of ghosts and ghastly witches,
Lights go out, no hands on switches.
Ugly hags astride their brooms
And monsters hide in darkened rooms.

Sleekly purring witch’s cats
Dark and hungry vampire bats.
Glowing, grinning, pumpkin heads
And monsters under children’s beds.

Ghost and ghouls you’re sure to find
With monster fiends of every kind
Fiery eyes and bloodstained claws
And what’s behind the cupboard door?

Something big and green and hairy
Under your bed and boy it’s scary!
Will it eat a naughty child?
Drink Dad’s beer and then go wild?

Lock your doors and windows tight
And stay in after dark tonight.
Strange things heard and stranger seen
For, my friends, ‘tis Hallowe’en
