Hearts of Passion

-----------------------

Hearts of passion
Still the night
With twilights gleam
In hasty flight

The heart was thunder
My joy was rain
Her Love
The field of fruit
That sustained my soul

Rushing lips in madness
Taken by the flame
The rapture of our passion
Calling out her name

Until morns light
Brought with it
The sanity of reason
And waning shadows of sleep

The madness of the night
But another dream of her
And what of love
The vision whispered low

Shielding eyes of sorrow
Where rivers of pain now flow
The blood of his wound
Wet on his cheeks

I sit
Longing to see her
And knowing
I never shall again

heartache...

your poetry is so full of pain and

regret, as you lick your wounds and try

to move forward. Keep writing, it does

give balm for the soul, if only in shallow

moments of time.. the heart does heal.
