Hope

Hope?
Nope.
Despair?
It's there.
Unemployed.
Hemorrhoids.
Without a job,
Need to rob,
To get money,
For my honey.

Hope?
Nope.
I'm in jail,
Hoping bail.
Going straight,
I can't wait.
Now with job,
I don't rob.
With overtime,
I save my dimes.

Hope?
Got a rope.
Bought a home,
Wrote this poem.
Have a girl,
She's a pearl.
Got married,
Life's harried.

Hope?
Like the Pope.
Had a kid,
Yep, we did.
Lost my job,
Steal and rob,
Back in jail,
Hoping bail.
