Enthroned
by your presence

refuge, naked at my feet
porcelain bowl, brimmed and steaming

down of linen hushed in tones of sandalwood.

To your ward
resigned

small steps, unfold as utter leaps
devotion, as a lifetime owed tea otemae

contemplative lash sipped brush half lidded eye.

Divine
in measure

kimono soft silk wisps, as rain
to earth, assured

diffuse your lips intoned the silent, exact, the climb.
