When I first saw it I was just a baby,
A picture of a man that seemed to lear.
His big eyes bald head and nose just showed,
And a little sign that read "Kilroy was here!"

I grew up with this feller everywhere,
I found him far away and found him near.
Everywhere I went I found his picture,
And his message saying "Kilroy was here!"

I went to the islands on vacation,
I went to have a good time and some cheer.
But when I checked into my "Cabana,"
I found a sign that read "Kilroy was here!"

I flew around the world to Japan,
I was paranoid and feeling some fear.
I thought I'd be safe in the Orient,
I found a sign that read "Kilroy was here!"

By this time I was growing despondent,
I was doing strange things and acting queer.
I got shipped off to a state asylum,
Because of that damn sign "Kilroy was here!"

I found myself clothed in a straight jacket,
It seemed at last though I was in the clear.
But then when I went to take my shower,
On the stall was the sign "Kilroy was here!!"
